Local news reports show acts of vandalism in, by my count, at least 21 U.S. cities Friday night. In some, sporadic smashed windows. In others, severe fires and looting and injuries. When is the last time there were disturbances in so many cities simultaneously?

News coverage shouldn't *overstate* the destruction, and definitely shouldn't emphasize property damage more than physical harm, but folks should see how far this has spread beyond Minneapolis. Looting in Dallas, Milwaukee, Portland. Vandalism in Cincinnati, Chicago, Richmond.
