Funding for SMEs- why not consider the Bank of Industry (BOI)?

My years of involvement in the commercial space have opened my eyes to some silent but promising funding sources for SMES, e.g. the BOI (including the BOI Microfinance Bank)

The focus of BOI is basically to help business entities get required capital. BOI has several specially tailored funds. Only that BOI won’t give you cash. You identify the facility/equipment/raw materials you require for your business/project, BOI pays for them.

Concerned about security/collateral requirements? Don’t be. They are flexible. First, the facility/equipment/raw materials usually stand as your collateral. In addition, in some cases involving smaller sums between 50k- 10m, all you require is a guarantor. The person can

be your mama, dad, and a friend, who works as a civil servant, a lawyer, or other professionals.

Depending on the kind of funds you want, being in business for say six months will make you eligible. New businesses or projects may also qualify.

BOI is associated with bureaucracy and delay? Yes and no? It mostly depends on your ability to get your papers right from the beginning. So you may want to talk to those that know. Will be glad to assist.

I had one of the best Jamb results, but I missed several scholarships because I never believed anything was working, without back-end channels. So didn& #39;t bother to to apply for any.
