It is too easy to pretend that systematic racism is an American issue. But that ignores the fact that in the UK:
Black people are 7x more likely to be stopped by police
4x more likely to have force used against them
And BAME people are 1/3 of those shot by UK police

If we want to call ourselves liberals, we have a duty to stand with the Black community against racist abuses of power by the police, and to do the work to eliminate white supremacy from our communities.
