To know the Mystery of Bhimkund we have to go back 5000 years (Mahabharata period). The Pandavas have spent some time of their exile in the region. The place where evidence of his stay is found (Chhatarpur) is known as Bhimkund in Madhya Pradesh district.
Bheemkund was made of Bhima's mace, such neat & pure water may not be anywhere else, No one could measure its depth.

The specialty of Kund water is that it is very pure and blue and transparent. Due to which the depth of the tank is seen inside. It is said that its water is the mineral water of a quality similar to Himalayan water. People fill its water in bottles and take it with them.
This mystery of Bhimkund is that no one has measured its depth until today. It is believed that the reservoir is formed due to the strong current flowing from the ground, but no groundwater scientist could find out which water source is connected to this Kund.
Bhimkund came into the limelight when the wave began to rise in this pool during the huge tsunami in Hindmahasagar. Discovery Channel's team came to know the secret of it after the waves rose in it during the tsunami.
Their divers had dived into its pool several times, but they could neither measure its depth nor find out what caused the waves to rise at the time of the tsunami, although they found some strange and extinct aquatic animals in its depth.
