2. Halal economy was estimated to be at US$ 5.73 tn in 2016 by Hexa research & estimated 2 be at US$ 12.5 tn by 2025. Halal is not only about food. It is almost about everything you do in daily life. travel, medication, banking, clothing, cosmetics. Everything you can think of

3. Halal economy is growing at 10.5% p.a. and growth in Europe is around 30%p.a. Approx 87% of revenue is generated from middle eastern countries and south Asian pacific countries. #SayNoToHalal

4. India along with Europe is major contributor to Halal economy and its growth because they address the lowest common denominator. i.e. the Halal food is generally acceptable to non-muslims also but muslims only buy Halal goods. #SayNoToHalal

5. So you can imagine the massive ecosystem is created around halal which penetrates government and non government agencies, institutions, business house and what not #SayNoToHalal

6. You can also imagine the huge demographic shift this ecosystem brings with itself. So what all is covered under halal economy... Food, you all know about it #SayNoToHalal

7. Fashion - Yes you get halal shirts. Don't be surprised. Its just longer in length compared to the normal shirt, to cover your rear. Yes.... this is something new "MALE MODESTY" #SayNoToHalal

8. Dolls: Move over barbies. We now have halal dolls Hijarbie. The book ensures that you don't get THAT type of FEELING when you see a cute little doll #SayNoToHalal

9. Halal tourism - Yes this is also there. What does it mean? Simple hotels that don't serve alcohol, provide prayer mats and halal food in restaurants #SayNoToHalal

10. Halal pharmacy: Now this must be getting to your nerves. Well, there is more surprise in store for you. They now have Halal Pharmaceutical Standard MS2424:2012 in Malaysia #SayNoToHalal

10a. As per this standard medicines are produced which conform with halal standards as defined in sharia. medicine cannot have animal traces which are not halal. no compounds that are derived from dogs/pigs #SayNoToHalal

11. Halal Banking: Not a new concept. We have been hearing about it for a few years. This is non-interest banking. The deposits are invested in equities and profit is shared instead of interest. #SayNoToHalal

12. So whenever you raise a voice against halal, you dont only bring food into question but all above and this threatens a huge ecosystem and the money generated to promote their causes, that is aimed to dominate you lesser mortals.
