Good morning folks
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in North Yorkshire

We’re expecting to see more people heading to our open spaces, coast and countryside to explore and take their exercise.

If you turn up somewhere & it’s clearly busy, don’t risk it. Have a plan B to ensure you keep away from crowds & protect your loved ones.

When parking your vehicle please respect the local community & make sure you're not blocking the path of emergency service vehicles.

Only meet up with one person outside your household at any time in a public place

Stay 2 metres apart from others at all times.

Remember, there are still limited facilities with many public toilets closed and hand washing facilities limited.

Please don’t leave your litter behind

It may look tempting to cool off in warmer weather but open water can be full of hidden dangers.
.

Open water is likely to by much colder that you expect.

Even strong swimmers can be affected by cold water shock.

The water may look calm on the surface, but there can be strong undercurrents that could pull even a strong swimmer under the water.

Stay safe & look after each other

We will continue to play our part and are grateful for all of the support and positive engagement we have had from members of the public as we police what has been, and continues to be, a fast-moving situation.
