Here’s myth number one.
True or false.
Carrots improve your eyesight…
🥕 TRUE 🥕
It’s technically true, but it’s the vitamin A in carrots that contributes to healthy eyesight.
That can be found in so many other different places, like red peppers or spinach.
Here’s myth number two.
All babies are born with blue eyes…
Again, this is technically true.
Before the melanin develops, a baby’s eyes can APPEAR blue.
This can change within around 12 months.
Myth number three coming up...
True or false.
If you cross your eyes too much, they’ll STICK 😱
False.
Pull as many silly faces as you wish.
Myth number four here.
People who are colour blind only see in black and white.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is FALSE.
Most people who are colour blind see partial colour, and greyscale colour blindness is very rare.
Well that’s that, Twitter.
We’ve had a look at some of the most popular eye myths around and shed a little light on them.
