Police no longer respecting freedom of press in Minneapolis, SWAT just forced our reporting team into a business and slammed the door
We are good now and still live streaming - police suddenly appeared and threatened us, forced us inside, then their large force quickly left the block as quickly as it came just a few mins later
Clip from our stream earlier shows when Minnesota state police in riot gear & SWAT w assault rifles pushed UR off an empty street, threatening our reporters w arrest. At the time were were interviewing Louis Hunter about his restaurant, Trio Plant Based, which he's been guarding.
When Louis Hunter expressed frustration at being pushed by police while guarding his own business, a state trooper appeared to taunt him by standing with a can of mace ready just outside Trio’s door.
Luckily at this exact moment we happened to be speaking with a business owner who offered us shelter when police arrived. Otherwise it seems MN State Police would have forcefully arrested our journalists despite assurances the troubled curfew orders would not limit press coverage
Our journalists are safe and we’ve taken the stream down for the night. We plan to continue reporting from the Twin Cities this weekend despite the difficulties. If you want to support us we do accept donations here: http://unicornriot.ninja/donate
Louis Hunter was the only 1 charged w felony riot for participating in the #I94Shutdown in 2016.

Police shot him w/ a marker round & used his clothes as evidence.

Dozens of arrestees refused to take plea deals until his charges were dropped. https://twitter.com/UR_Ninja/status/1087142645191839745
