I'd be interested whether they usually wore red socks with that as an away kit or whether it was usually white and they changed because of Chelsea's white socks.
But I have a series of thoughts:
i) Too few clubs these days wear blocks of solid colour;
ii) Yellow and white are rarely seen together
iii) More kits should be contrasting shirt/short colours, and not just with white/black shorts
iv) Historically, football has not made enough of the possibility of contrast socks. Chelsea and Manchester Utd worthy exceptions, and Nike rather messed up the idea with their hideous templating of England, USA and others in 2014. But the general idea has legs (as it were)
