I understand there is a greater military/police presence in Minneapolis, but Gov. Walz is someone I trust. As someone born & raised in his district as a Representative, met him in person, shook his hand...

His priorities are to hold the system accountable. Not to arrest & harm.

I know this doesn't make me popular, but I'm concerned that much of the rioting is in bad faith to destroy the community as much as possible. That's why the National Guard is here. Outside forces are in play and we need to be smart about this.

In his press conference last night, Walz shared intelligence that out of state rioters are arriving to stoke chaos. I hope the police and National Guard exercise restraint, but I also hope the community protects itself from complete anarchy.

There's no denying the wrench should have been thrown into the gears of the system a long time ago.

But this thread is in defense of the governor because I really do believe his number one priority is to protect life with the information available.
