in these difficult times, surely we've all faced moments where we feel unmotivated or insecure about ourselves. here are a few simple ways to tackle that:

[a thread]

most tips are from yours truly including some from Jack Canfield's Podcast "Focus On the Positive"
1) keep a log of your successes and victories

there's nothing wrong about keeping track of the great things you've done. it doesn't even have to be something that made a major difference to society. maybe you did one KBAT add question by yourself today? or maybe you woke up ++
earlier than usual and had a productive day? either way, writing it down in a notebook or keeping it in your phone's Note app will help in showing YOU that you have done great things in the past. you don't have to feel bad for not bringing a major difference now ++
because one day you surely will make a difference.
2) ask for acknowledgement

from the get-go, you might think that this will contribute to 'riak', but personally, i don't think that's the case. asking for people to acknowledge your efforts will help to really boost your self-esteem. talking from experience, ++
trying to work without acknowledgement gets harder and harder each time. maybe with teachers it's more difficult, but there's nothing wrong with asking for it from a good friend. for example, tell a friend:

'hey! today i cooked by myself and i think i did a pretty good job' ++
not only are YOU acknowledging what YOU did, but the friend plays a large role in making you realise that you did something for yourself. additionally, people may argue that not all friends are supportive, but that's why 'asking for acknowledgement' should come occasionally, ++
you should remember to ask for it, but not ask for it all the time :)

3) keep track of said acknowledgements

similar to the first technique, keeping track of the acknowledgements you get helps a lot in boosting your confidence and self esteem. every time someone says that ++
you did well? screenshot it and save it in an album. i do this myself, and it has helped a lot whenever you have those lonely nights where your negative thoughts seem to consume you.
that's all i have for now, unfortunately :( i myself have gone through a lot throughout MCO and not having friends around has made it even more difficult. i hope that this thread can be of help to anyone out there who needs it.
