I’ve been seeing a lot of people blaming Trump for everything going on between the pandemic and the George Floyd situation. All terrible events that I feel deeply for. However I want to address that I don’t believe it’s his fault. [A Thread]
I’ve read through many responses, and tweets and have seen a lot of accusations, and claims that haven’t been supported but articles or have come from unreliable websites to make the Right and Donald Trump look bad in their involvement with everything going on.
Let’s get one thing straight. Donald calling Covid-19 the Chinese virus - not racist. Nobody said it was racist when we were struck with Ebola and it was named after a river in West Africa. Both named from where they originated.
Second, this year has been a total curveball and I don’t think Donald has truly done anything to make everyone’s lives worse during this pandemic. Sometimes we have to make things worse before they can get better and clearly some can’t handle that.
And with the George Floyd situation. I think we can all agree that nobody is defending the officer clearly guilty of murdering Floyd. I don’t think it’s fair though to take this situation and make it Trumps fault.
I feel what happened and what has happened should be a judgment of character on these officers - most have been let go by their departments following an incident.
With that being said, I think it’s very important we look at statistics before we start pegging every white personal and officer of being racist. Take a look at what’s really happened versus what’s been filmed.

In these tables presented by the FBI for 2018. 6,318 of the 7,407 African American murder victims were killed by another African American. That’s roughly 85%.
In conclusion I hate everything that has happened this year and I pray for everyone over this and these hard times. I just wanted to put some of this in perspective and speak from a neutral stand point.
There are a lot of good officers out there - clearly a lot of bad too. I don’t let this thread mislead you, what happened with George Floyd was clearly disgusting and driven from racism, but I do worry that this will repercuss and make good law enforcement look bad.
