touchy subject but i do believe in taking action against racism. signing petitions and such and bringing awareness. and i do acknowledge that silence is a form of oppression. however, i think others should feel morally obligated to "repost".
however, that doesn't justify doing nothing. it's better to even sign a petition because every name means a lot. even if you believe that you won't be able to accomplish much.
I'm not one to talk about these types of issues and i am in no way qualified to tell you what to do. all I'm going to say is that the Black community has been oppressed by almost every race out there. as an asian-american man, i recognize the privilege that i have
but we now live in a time where it's no longer okay to just be a "non-racist". you must strive to fight against any and all actions of racism. whether or not it pertains to you.
it's a difficult time that we live in now and we already know that 2020 is a rough year for everyone. so why can't we just come together as the human race and stand up for each other. it's as if we're programmed to only be taking charge in times of crisis. this has gone on
way too long. if you take anything from this thread, it's that one shouldn't feel the obligation to retweet or repost because they'll be "cancelled" or "siding with the oppressor". but one shouldn't be silent. take a stand and bring awareness with the important info ppl will need
and remember in this time of panic. be aware of the facts. stand for your rights. and be safe. no one else needs to see another mother cry.
