please remember to look outside of the western lens especially when you are not talking about a western artist. it’s fascinating that he used this and that it touches on issues relevant to his country. children he adopted from Korea were among the victims of JJ’s fanaticism.
that people are blindly retweeting and sending letters without researching the claims and not knowing the context FOR THIS ARTIST in HIS country is...ironic.
In the US it’s a hugely well-known cultural touchstone and “drinking the kool-aid” is common parlance for “following blindly”/agreeing without questioning.
