2004: Thomas Hickey was killed after a police chase, he was riding his bike as it was rammed by a police car, causing him to fly off and be impaled by a metal fence. he died of his injuries a few days later. police were found not guilty of any wrongdoing. Thomas was 17 years old.
2014: Ms Dhu was arrested for unpaid fines. she complained of severe pain while in custody, but police accused her of faking it and mocked her. she died of infection and pneumonia from broken ribs, which her abusive partner had broken months earlier. she was 22 years old.
2015: David Dungay Jr, who was diabetic, died in custody after refusing to stop eating a packet of biscuits. in video footage he can be heard shouting 'I can't breathe, please." as the officers restrain him. he was 26 years old.
2004: Cameron Doomadgee (Mulrunji) was arrested for swearing in public. he died in police custody by supposedly 'tripping on a step'. the arresting officer admitted to assaulting Cameron, but despite the evidence, was found not guilty of manslaughter. he still has his job
1983: John Peter Pat was killed in a brawl between police officers and his friends. they fought back out of self-defence, the policemen were heavily intoxicated, and punched and kicked them him the head excessively. 2008: ian ward was arrested for a DUI, he was driven in the back of a prison van for 4 hours in the outback heat. the temperature in the back of the van was over 50C (122F), he died from heatstroke and third-degree burns to his stomach. the guards did not once check on his health

9 nov 2019: Kumanjayi Walker was fatally shot in his home by police. he was wanted for property damage, with no evidence of resisting arrest. he was thrown in the back of a pickup truck and did not receive medical attention for hours. he was 19 years old.
