Seeing some commentary saying that this type of hostility toward the press is due to Trump. Police in Ferguson did this on many nights. Full camera crews and reporters targeted with arrests, tear gas, rubber bullets and on some nights threatened with lethal force. These are not stories of hostility toward the press. They are stories of police impunity
I haven& #39;t read my own account of my wrongful Ferguson arrest in nearly 6 years. The lesson to grapple with in these cases is *always*: if police will treat the press this way, how are they daily treating those who they consider powerless? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/in-ferguson-washington-post-reporter-wesley-lowery-gives-account-of-his-arrest/2014/08/13/0fe25c0e-2359-11e4-86ca-6f03cbd15c1a_story.html">https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...
As @ryanjreilly stood handcuffed outside of the McDonalds in Ferguson, a black resident was crying for his life in the back of a police van. One of the biggest regrets of my life is not ever finding out what happened to that man https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/in-ferguson-washington-post-reporter-wesley-lowery-gives-account-of-his-arrest/2014/08/13/0fe25c0e-2359-11e4-86ca-6f03cbd15c1a_story.html">https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...
