legally in the US, trans people aren't a protected category, meaning it's not treated as a hate crime to kill us, it's not illegal to fire us for being trans, and we can't so much as piss at the store w/out fear of getting murdered or raped.

I'm fucking sick of seeing people ask this shit.

btw it's not my intent to draw attention away from black people during the current events. There are black trans people, too & they have to worry about both of these issues simultaneously.
