a reminder to not use these if you're not black yourself. this is exclusively a black symbol and using it when nonblack is disrespectful. please do spread it around and RT though!! https://twitter.com/frogwhomp/status/1266542694618353664
hey i didnt think this would go to more than just mutuals so i wanted to say! nonblack people can use the versions without the black power fist according to the creator! it's just the black power fist itself is a black exclusive symbol.
im going to link to threads that explain it better down here! https://twitter.com/wellreadsquid/status/1266115553669910534?s=21
it's really hard to find sources on this outside of threads because of how central it is to black history, but it became popular as a symbol of black nationalism. a nonblack person cannot be a black nationalist and that is why it's inappropriate. i will link articles below too!
