Those who do use the hashtag want to show love and support for our black friends/families, brothers and sisters. We want them to know that they are not alone and we are with them though not in person we are with them all over the world through the internet.

This hashtag for some is the best they can do. Yes obviously spread the petition and donate if possible but you do realize some people can't physically protest or send money for personal reasons, age or financial instability. So some use this hashtag to once again show support.

Just b/c you don't see it helpful that doesn't mean others feel that way. Some people actually feel like they're helping someway by using this hashtag and they are by helping this trend people worldwide will see this. People who don't know what happened to George might-

Find out once they click on the hashtag. This thread is not hurting ANYONE in any way. If you feel like it's not helpful then that's you stop making it to be that it's not helping.

When people click on this hashtag they see how angry everyone is and they see how tired we all are of the systematic racism toward black people. That we want when we use the hashtag to show EVERYONE; politicians, white supremacists, our president especially etc

Of course I understand what you mean when you say we should be posting articles about the black lives matter and yes we should but we are bring attention to the wrong murders of innocent black men and women George or Regis Korchinski-Paquet. We want to bring light to those cases-

Does it mean we are ignoring the point of the movement itself ? No but we are trying to prove that these innocent beautiful black human beings were killed due to racial motives by police.

At the end. This is how I feel . The hashtag may be unhelpful to YOU but not too others. #blacklivesmatter #JusticeForGeorge #JusticeForRegisKorchinski
