"Off-brand" tweet here: I am discouraged by how many people I've trusted in my life not phased by George Floyd's murder. The things I've seen perpetuated to justify these actions... Especially by those who claim to follow Jesus. I get not agreeing on everything. This is different

I just can't get past it. If you say you believe in Jesus, if you say God became human to save humanity, then that means people have worth. You don't get to choose. You don't. So to trot out conspiracies to justify the police overstepping their jurisdiction? That's antichrist.

However, we acknowledge being a Christian nowadays for many simply means saying a prayer and voting Republican. Faith in the ancient world had more to do with allegiance compared to "belief." It meant a life overhaul. It meant ethical fortitude.

It pains us that the week we release an episode about human worth, that we shouldn't define people by what they contribute to society (which is subjective as crap), something like this happens. And we even have people who promote our show...also promoting said conspiracies.

I really don't know where I was going with this. I try my best to be compassionate towards people, but if it's okay to you for a cop to have his knee on a man's neck for nine minutes, for a man to be choked and killed over selling cigarettes? You should be ashamed.

Anyways. This past episode was deeper than we've been. And I'm already seeing connections to this week's events with WOTG. You don't have to like it. But we kind of accepted the fact not everyone would like our show when we combined theology with Godzilla.

SO. If anyone is feeling confused or discouraged. We would love to be a safe place for you to talk/process. As two white men, we can only sympathize. We have no idea what it really feels like to fear for one's life like this. And are sorry anyone ever has to feel this way.
