The truly disgusting, disgraceful thing about the Robodebt theft is the Liberals& #39; arrogant, & #39;de haut en bas& #39; assumption that it was ordinary, everyday Australians who were ripping off the system. But who& #39;s really been doing it ?
How about Stuart Robert with his $35,000 internet bill ? Or Dutton, Abetz and Andrews charging the taxpayer >$6000 to fly to a private Liberal Party Tony Abbott tribute dinner in Sydney ? Bronwyn Bishop& #39;s famous $6000 helicopter junket from Melbourne to Geelong, among others ?
But it& #39;s corporate Australia that& #39;s the worst. The banks and AMP gouging their customers millions for "services" that never happened. Westpac and CBA allowing drug crooks and child pornographers to launder $$$ millions overseas.
Then there& #39;s the tax dodgers like Rupert Murdoch, who pays virtually no tax in Australia. Amazon Australia: 2018 revenue $1bn, tax $20m. Santos, 4yr revenue $14.9bn, tax $3.1m. Nissan Australia 4yr revenue $9.7bn, tax just $476. Stockland, 4yr revenue $6.1bn, tax $0. And more...
Or the wage thieves who ripped off their workers for millions: Coles, Woolworths, CBA, Qantas, Dominos, Rockpool, Subway, Bunnings, 7-Eleven, Target...the list goes on and on.
But who did Morrison and the Liberals target with Robodebt ? The poor, the unemployed, the disadvantaged, the most vulnerable. Ordinary folk without the smart corporate accountants and high-priced lawyers. People who could not fight back. It& #39;s beyond sickening.
