The similarity here is that in the US white people are the majority and in Malaysia, Malays are the majority. In general in any country where you see a majority race, that race will "rule". Usually they'd want benefits for themselves eg school quotas.
What do we hear in Malaysia? "Hak bumiputra", "hak melayu". What about the other races? Don't they have equal rights?
