I’m so deeply grateful to all those who are marching and protesting an unacceptable tragedy and tragic loss of life of George Floyd in #CLT in a passionate yet respectful way right now.

Every @CMPD officer I’ve spoken with this week is more outraged than anyone else because, “it takes a career to build up your own trust bank as an officer in your community, but just a moment for one bad cop in a million to burn that all down with their actions.”

Floyd’s memory is being honored, a very important point is being made, and our police officers are shoulder to shoulder with these tireless activists in mind and spirit right now - all while our small businesses reeling from COVID are not being kicked while they are down.

This if Charlotte. This is how we operate. This is the best place on a planet with a lot of issues still being worked out. I love you all. Keep it up.
