I am at rainy Richmond. Justice for George Floyd rally.

The start of this event is in Monroe Park. Police are here but keeping their distance. I have spot under 10 officers in uniform.

the crowd of at least 150 is on the move

scratch that, a way higher number of protesters and still growing

I am in the rear, police are pushing the crowd to march faster

we have moved to Broad Street, numbers seem like a thousand

a little fireworks

someone is dropping down and busting it open to slow down the police

cop car is on fire

some pepper spray but the people around me are ok

I am still here but not much for me to share, tensions died down, still in the same spot near the police HQ where the cop car got torched

its past midnight and energy is still high

I've moved away from the police HQ, currently holding Broad and Belvidere intersection

this GRTC bus is taggee and west broad is shut down

3pers they are talking about red flag laws (incorrectly)

debate on if theu should have come out, I wish they talked to the community before coming

A second cop car is on fire

shoots fired in the air, different directions

these are rubber bullets being fired, some told me they got hit with a ricochet

checking, I'm fine but I am not near the main group anymore

I hear lots of pops from fireworks and possibly concussion grenades

the fire department abandoned their hose

Ok folks, I am calling it a night. Before I came inside, every cop car in Richmond drove right by me.
