....drive marked vehicles, here’s a thread on how to identify (most) unmarked officer vehicles:
models to look out for

- ford crown Victoria
- Ford Explorer
- Dodge Charger (LX platform especially)
- Ford Taurus
- Chevy Tahoe
- Chevy impala
- Chevy caprice (this model is usually a dead giveaway. pictured below in white and black)
black, white, grey cars and SUVs

it’s highly unlikely that undercover cops will drive colorful cars - red, blue, green, etc. the color is a large indicator, as undercover cops do not want to be easily spotted. they may even have stickers on the window to blend in more.
license plate

state-issued license plates will say “municipal” at the bottom of it. this is arguably the biggest clue. however not all undercover cop cars have this.
look closer!

the grill and the dashboard can have built-in light bars. or, there’s a spotlight installed on the drivers side mirror. you won’t see them before its too late, though, so be vigilant in remembering the other signs.
interior equipment

although many modern unmarked cop cars have tinted windows, you will sometimes be able to see a laptop stand, extra switches, cameras, or other uncommon looking-stuff either mounted on the windshield or on/around the center console.
other general tips:

- cops love their cars to be clean
- lack of chrome trim or black steel wheels? hint.
- older models and varying on the city have extra antennas around the car
- look for crashbars/pushbars/bumpbars, whatever you call them
