You are telling them that their experiences are not valid by doing this. If a white person commits a crime, that does not dehumanize every white person. And it should not. Why isn't this the same for every demographic?

And yes, rich Black athletes/people CAN relate. Many have been through this kind of thing themselves, and maybe, seeing people who look like you being hurt might, hmm, implore them to speak up. (see Kaepernick)
