I’ve been finding the words to express how I feel. The events of this week have taken a toll on everyone in the world, especially the black community. But terrifyingly and unfortunately enough, this isn’t the first or last time this will happen.

Black people have been forced to fear groups of white people, including cops, since we’ve settled on this land. And since then, they’ve been given rights in sprinkle amounts. We need to stop viewing others as less than us. We need to stop ranking life and just see it as life.

Though we are focusing on black lives right now, this goes as a basic human right. NO ONE should have to fear for their life. NO ONE should have to beg “please, I can’t breathe.” Life is life, no matter what form it comes in. Black, white, we are all the same.
