Arsenal is the keenest club sign Thomas Partey and Mikel Arteta likes him a lot. Before the crisis, Arsenal were ready to meet his €50m release clause. For that reason, the player has so far refused to sign the contract extension offer on the table ( @PatriciaCazon)

According to L'Equipe, Inter Milan are interested in Alexandre Lacazette but he isn't keen on joining them. Arsenal are attentive to Moussa Dembele's situation in case Lacazette does leave.

According to RMC Sport, Adil Aouchiche visited Saint-Etienne's training ground but didn't undergo a medical. The player, while interested in joining Saint-Etienne, wants time before making a final decision.

According to @FcInterNewsit, Inter Milan have turned down an approach from Arsenal for young centre back Alessandro Bastoni.

Martin Keown on David Luiz: "If you are going to pay £7m for him & give him £5m wages & he’s only going to be there for one season, I’m not sure about the wisdom of that"

Martin Keown: "If David Luiz isn’t the answer, then he has to go now. Is he a proper defender? Can he play in a back four? His best defending came when he was in a back three at Chelsea. He doesn’t enjoy being in wide positions in the back four, he tends to bring people down"

Keown: "Holding’s been injured, its hard to judge him, probably deserves another opportunity. I think Sokratis could be a useful defender. Mustafi, although Arteta has got a bit of a tune out of him but we know he isn’t quite at the level as well"

The Mirror say Arsenal are terminating the contracts of their youth scouting network because of financial cutbacks. 10 part time scouts who helped discover the likes of Saka, Nelson, Smith-Rowe & Willock were given the bombshell news on Thursday. (1/2)
