Applied for another writing job today and when I clicked “send” I was so proud of myself.
Even though I haven’t been staffed ONCE in these past three years, I’m so glad I haven’t let it discourage me from continuing to build my dream (and my brand).

What’s even better is knowing I built a brand that people know and respect and most, I gotten to meet people and do things I once dreamed about.

Don’t let the “no’s” take you out. Take them, keep building around them and I promise that one day you will be so glad that you didn’t quit.

Funny story. Someone who told me “no” back in 2015 recently reached out to me and asked me to do some work. While I wanted to be petty, I turned it down because I was actually really busy in the moment.
Today, I got to interview/chat with someone I have long looked up to.
Five years ago I don’t think I would have thought I’d being doing a story with them in it.
