A LIL THREAD ABOUT CATFISHFINDOM FOR THOSE DOMMES AND SUBS WHO STILL DONT UNDERSTAND AND STILL HATE ON IT
There is a growing number of men involved in catfishism, a fetish centered around getting scammed on the internet. These men willingly hand over their money to faux con artists who present themselves as beautiful women on social media, but say upfront their pictures are fake.
In reality, they could be anyone—and that’s part of the appeal. It's the whole not knowing which is hot, they love the humiliation. They send money to catfish impersonating celebrities, anime and video game characters, and even Dory, the fish from Finding Nemo.
Yes, you never know it may be a man behind the account but men pretending to be women and knowing that someone is laughing at you on the other side is actually a turn on for some. In fact, some like to think the person behind the account is male.
Now onto the legal shit. The impersonation of another person online is not illegal by itself. However, the actions of the instigator of catfishing usually engage in some form of illegal activity at some point.
Literally all those forms of illegal activity apply to non catfish dommes also. We are not stealing our models identity in any way shape or form. We do not use their ID, bank info, email... we are not pulling a sick baby hoax or whatever... IT IS ALL CONSENTED WITH THE SUBS.
A catfishdomme does not falsely identify themselves as the model. For example I do not claim to be the real Ms Palomares, I have made this obvious on my profile.
Receiving money while pretending to be someone else is illegal. But when these men know you are a catfish and you have displayed this over your profile that you are not the person in the photos, this is not illegal.
So in conclusion, sending money gifts to a fantasy domme is not a crime. Fraud, assault and theft are acts that can lead to jail time and lawsuits.
At the end of the day, just let it be. If you dont understand the kink, leave it alone.
