F1 followers. If you are upset enough to tweet about the possibility of Williams potentially not being in f1 anymore, you should bloody well be upset enough to speak out about a man being murdered. Silence is violence. #BlackLivesMatter

I’ve realised this tweet isn’t exactly worded the way I intended it to come across. Some people have let me know that it comes across as if I’m lording it over people for tweeting about this when others aren’t, or like I’m trying to dictate what people should say - this was never
my intention, but I do see now how it can be interpreted like that. The main thing I wanted to do was suggest that we take some of the energy we’re investing into the potential loss of Williams and put it into an increidbly important cause. If we have the time to be sad there...
surely it would be useful to invest it into one of the biggest injustices on this planet. Many of us have been given a platform where we can reach out to people, or just reach people, and if we want to tackle these injustices, we need to use these platforms!
I agree. I’m also upset about the possibility of losing Williams. What I’m saying is that entirely ignoring George Floyd’s murder whilst still tweeting about the potential loss of a team is ridiculous. It is inappropriate to let it go unnoticed.
Of course not. I didn’t say that. I’m addressing the people who have said nothing at all.
You know what I’m saying and you know what I mean.
