Looking at the photos and videos of the protest now outside Detroit Police over George Floyd, a significant number of the demonstrators appear to be white. Detroit is 10% white and 80% black city.

It's interesting to note the white demonstrators chose Detroit to have their protests, some of which are now turning violent.
Why did they chose Detroit and not the suburbs? Why are they targeting a city that's 90% minority with a Black-majority police dept, black leaders?

Detroit Police Chief James Craig just criticized the small number of protesters who attacked Detroit police officers tonight:
