Hear me out for a second, I firmly believe that Donald trump and rudaw ruined Kurdish twitter! How? Well 4 years ago he became president and Twitter was a big part of his platform which led to rudaw making many reports about his tweets(1)

Which made Kurdish people who did not even know what Twitter was create accounts. Now most of them came from Facebook and Instagram which are obviously very different from twitter, and they decided to bring their attention-seeking personalities to this platform(2)

And so hundreds of Kurdish accounts were born, and all they did was post pictures and fish for compliments. They brought the toxicity of instagram and Facebook to twitter and that’s why 90% of the Kurdish twitter toxicity comes from accounts created after 2016. Thank you.
