u know what i’m gonna talk my shit. as a makeup artist i am considered to “have more skill” bc i know how to do makeup on dark skin tones. do u know how absurd that is?
all the time i am specifically given darker skinned clients to work with because other artists do not feel comfortable and were never even taught how to do makeup on any skin other than light.
why do I GET PRAISE for treating every one equal? why do i specifically have to choose to support brands with large shade ranges / boycot ones that don’t? why don’t they ALL HAVE large shade ranges?
