*sigh*
This is gonna be a big thread, about a lot of things I have a lot to say about. I've retweeted a lot of stuff (and still plan to), but it's time to throw my own hat into the ring.

Before I start, I'm going to preface this by saying that if you think anything that's been going on or anything mentioned in this thread is an okay thing to do, PLEASE unfollow me. I don't care who you are, I do not want to associate with you.
1. GEORGE FLOYD
George Floyd was murdered, plain and simple. By a police officer, someone who's supposed to serve and protect. And then the police continued to berate by being the ones who STARTED the riots that happened immediately after. And THEN used tear gas on the civilians

who were protesting both the riots and the murder! Then Target has the gall to not provide access to the supplies needed to prevent more damage? No wonder they got looted! People can complain all they want about how we should be peacefully protesting, but don't think I've
forgotten how Kaepernick was treated.
If you, for some reason, need a reminder on how cops should act, then allow me to present this clip from, of all places, Family Guy, where Patrick Warburton summarizes it in one of the best possible ways:

To my African American friends: yes, I am white. Yes, I can never be oppressed. Yes, I will never know how it feels to be in your position. But I stand by you nonetheless. I mourn with you, and I fight with you. #BlackLivesMatter
, and will always matter.

2. ALEJANDRO RIPLEY
Wow. I'm actually speechless. Do people hate the autistic community that much? Sure, we act a little differently, but...really? Can we talk about this for a second? Because apparently I missed something! I thought people were sane! But I guess not!

I mention this to people that I meet, but I guess I haven't really said it a lot on social media: I am autistic. Sometimes I say or do things that come off a little weird. I have a harder time understanding things than most other people. But I'm not evil, and I'm not dangerous.
To see this happen to anyone is a travesty, and to have it be such a young child only makes it worse, but to have it be an autistic young child hurts my heart. I really thought people were better than this, but I guess not. And others wonder why I'm introverted.
The autistic community needs to be shown off in a better light. People need to understand both the community and the disorder better. Too many people say to me, "oh don't let it define you!", but that's the thing: it's such an important aspect of how I act as an individual, that
I can't really NOT let it define me. It's a part of me, just like any other person would let such a prominent trait about themselves (culture, appearance, sexuality, etc.) define who they are as a person. All anyone really wants is to be treated fairly.
3. OPERATION PRIDEFALL
Speaking of sexuality, holy shit. We can't catch a break with these fucking Karens, can we? Imagine being so upset with a community that just wants to be treated fairly that you plan a mass cyberbully attack during the month that lets us flourish.

Am I particularly surprised? Not really. There's always protesters at pride. Some people think their religion dictates how other people should live their lives (even though they'll go right back to saying "God loves everyone guys!!!!"). This is also partially why I'm an atheist.
But that doesn't give anyone the right to go out of their way to plan a whole attack! What even acts as a threat, hmm? It's not like we're turning people gay, or needlessly shoving our propaganda down peoples' throats; if anyone, that's the people against it all! Count how many
times you see someone being overt about their religion (i.e., crosses everywhere) or political stance (i.e., Confederate flags everywhere) in comparison to someone else being overt about their sexuality (especially outside of June).
If I see anyone posting anything in favor of Pridefall, I will report you. No hesitation whatsoever. It is extremely hateful, and I don't want to see it anywhere.
5. ASEXUALITY
Continuing with the topic of sexuality, this has caused quite the stir in the TikTok community, for some reason. People really seem to think that asexuality isn't a real thing, huh? It's "just a phase," it "can be fixed," it's "not in the LGBTQIA community."

What do you think all the stuff in the acronym stands for? Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex...Asexual! In spite of popular opinion, it does *not* stand for ally! Is it a bad thing to be an ally? No! We very much appreciate it. But you can't tell me that
someone who is, for all intents and purposes, not part of the community (being specifically cis and hetero) is more significant than someone who has a legitimate sexuality! Asexuals and aromantics cannot be considered valid while also not being considered part of the LGBTQIA.
Additionally, we cannot be "fixed," in spite of what others may believe. And this is actually a really popular belief, because, according to a 2015 survey, *43.5% of 8000 asexuals* were forced into corrective r*pe. That's nearly *3500* people.
Nothing can be fixed if there is nothing wrong. This holds true for both the asexual community and the autistic community. (As an aside, please stop using the puzzle piece to represent the autistic community.)
I've made threads before, but never this long. And never about topics like these. Usually I'm just talking about video games. But if you've stuck around for the whole thread, congrats. I have nothing to offer except my gratitude.
I'll still retweet stuff related to all of these to spread awareness, and let people know that all of this is wrong, and that something needs to change. But, on the other hand, nothing will ever change if nothing is done about it.
