i don’t really know if this is a good time to talk about this or not, but over the past few hours or so i’ve been getting increasingly emotional over the efforts put forth to let our voices be heard. people are banding together to achieve a common goal and i feel like we’re
making progress. petitions have been signed, emails and texts have been sent, hashtags have been made, and more. i know it may seem like you can do much from home, and admittedly that’s how i felt at first too. but let me tell you that that’s absolutely NOT TRUE! no matter how
big or small your contribution is, every little thing counts. retweet important information. sign the numerous petitions that end up on your timeline. share how the situation is making you feel and how important it is to you! no matter how small you think your voice is or how
little you’ll be contributing, you are actually doing more than you think. if you think, “oh! someone else with a bigger influence will take over my share,” then you are WRONG. think about it this way: if you are thinking that your voice doesn’t matter, then someone else probably
does as well. and somebody else. and somebody else. and somebody else. if none of those somebodies voiced their concerns and did what they should as a HUMAN to help other HUMANS live their fullest life without fear, then we wouldn’t have accomplished as much as we have now.
i understand that this thread is a little all over the place, but i trust you understand the points i’m making. don’t sit around doing nothing. every voice matters. please use yours.
