TW: child abuse, racism, murder. these are only 56 of the many cases of brutality committed by cops all over the world. whilst this is an inherently politicized idea, my belief that black people deserve to live is not politics. it is being a decent human being. //thread hopefully

to start this thread i will say: i am white, and so will be speaking from a white persons pov, so i can’t speak for black people, however i would like to use my platform for good and to bring attention to the issue, so apologies if anything i say feels wrong — please correct me.

with that out of the way, obviously my acab is different to a black/poc’s acab. however that does not change the fact that it is a corrupt system in which minorities are greatly disadvantaged, and this is proven by the fact that we’re STILL seeing such abuse today

the police system is corrupt all over the world. i am british and so can speak about british and american brutality the most effectively, however i’m sure there are cases in most countries. i will be blunt. i don’t care if your uncle is a cop. fuck him too

because if he’s still there then that just shows that he is complacent in the knowledge that the people he spends his time around are abusers and murderers and racists and so much more — that is, if he is not already one of those. 40% of cops in america are (reported) abusers

police officers do not join the police force out of the good of their heart, and if they do and genuinely care, they are not a cop anymore. if they are, then they do not mind working in an environment of ignorance. most officers join for the rush of power they get
