URGENT ACTION NEEDED TO HELP BETTY
Betty Robinson is 98 & the last remaining resident at Davenhill, a home in #UniRose that used every trick in the book to try to evict all 150 seniors w/o paying compensation or issuing a formal eviction. Betty said no, and plans to stay. /1

Right now Betty needs our urgent support. She realized today that her access fobs for her own unit + the front door of the complex had been disconnected. Had her daughter not discovered this by chance, Betty would have been locked out of her home upon leaving her apartment. /2
Join me in taking immediate action to ensure Betty isn& #39;t trapped in her apartment! Since discovering the fobs have been deactivated, Betty has not been able to leave her apartment as she has no way of getting back in. /3
Please CC my office at jbell-co@ndp.on.ca so we can follow up. /4
It has been an honour to organize with Betty, as well as former Davenhill residents and their families, over the past year to ensure seniors aren& #39;t wrongfully evicted. Thank you for taking action to show Betty we will fight with her and to support her at this urgent moment. /5
The removal of Toromto seniors from their homes so a foreign private investment firm can make more is a demonstration of everything that is wrong with our housing market. People first.
