The murder of George Floyd by a white police officer was sickening - and should shake us all to our core.

In 2020, police brutality and state-sanctioned violence is still an unfortunate reality for Black people and they deserve a world free of violence.

Today, a Black reporter was arrested for doing his job while it took days for the officer who killed George Floyd to be arrested. We must always speak out against racism & violence in all forms. Communities in NC & across the US deserve nothing less than justice & accountability.

And in a moment of national grief, Trump is inciting violence against protestors - using racist and inflammatory language as he usually does.

We must change our country's hearts, minds, and actions and keep bending the arc of history towards justice.
