With that LT disclaimer out of the way, I just want to say right off the bat that while obviously no sane and gentle and reasonable person would want to see rioting, the same could be said for the US& #39; CONTINUED abhorrent, inhuman treatment of POC, especially the black population.
How would anyone with open eyes and a pulse NOT riot in these conditions? Rioting seems to be a pretty damn natural response. Can you believe how long this shit has continued to go on? The complacency in light of constant black slaughter? What will it fucking take for change?
No one wants to see dystopia and desolation in the streets, but YOU GET THAT WHEN YOU CONTINUE TO TOLERATE, COVER-UP AND NORMALIZE ABUSE, IMPRISONMENT AND SLAUGHTER OF INNOCENT HUMAN LIVES ON AN HOURLY BASIS.
White America was founded on revolt and revolution. That& #39;s why White America is so afraid of it happening to them now, because it& #39;s the proven process to equalization of power. They& #39;re so proud teaching about the tea party in school, but scared as shit when it becomes THEIR tea.
I& #39;m white. I could go on to talk about how "oh but I& #39;m also jewish and scottish and all these other special little flavors of international descent" like white people love to do to feel like that makes a difference in light of white america today. Sorry, truth bomb, it doesn& #39;t.
Racists are one of the fascinating dodo breeds on Earth that get more and more simple and lazy the more time passes. If you look like a white European, chances are you don& #39;t have to fear going outside and getting choked to death, begging for your life under the knee of a cop.
That& #39;s what white privilege is. White privilege is what I don& #39;t have to think about when I go outside to the bank or the store or to walk or to relax. God, what a thing to take for granted. What a thing to deny.
When you live in white privilege you& #39;re probably also inclined to believe "oh cops aren& #39;t all so bad, when they& #39;re around I& #39;m sure that means I won& #39;t be randomly robbed or murdered." It& #39;d be hilarious how completely opposite it is for POC if not for how very real it is.
Cops are a private military force for the private judicial system and they& #39;re practically the soviet union in the amount of bad-policy-perpetuating and desperately-thorough-covering-up they do on a regular basis. But with any luck, that& #39;ll mean they will fall just the same. #ACAB
It& #39;s amazing how they outed themselves that one time with that trial ruling "the police are not responsible for protecting civilians". Isn& #39;t that exactly what we expect a police force to be for? No no no. That& #39;s part of the illusion designed to keep all Americans complacent.
You& #39;d think America would have justly rioted the entire country over and buried the disgustingly fraudulent private justice system like poisoned top-soil with some even remotely half-decent reform.
The only reason that didn& #39;t happen is complacent White America grants power to the corrupt leaders. Enough of America is white, so if all the white people feel like there isn& #39;t a problem, the American POC in dire need of change won& #39;t have enough support to make it happen.
Many White Americans, not even directly tied to the corrupt powers at the top perpetuating their privilege, willfully and blissfully deny the problem. It must hurt the soul to acknowledge that you love and benefit from what is essentially the Empire from Star Wars.
