A long thread, but information I've gathered over the last 24 hours regarding UAH Hockey and it's future:

The UAH hockey program will be able to play the 2020-2021 season, the final season in their current conference, The WCHA.

Through The Keep The Dream Alive Go Fund Me campaign and a T-shirt sale, the $500 thousand dollar goal was reached earlier Friday afternoon.

The goal was to raise $1 million of the $1.5 Million dollar yearly budget for the hockey program.

The long term prospects of the hockey program is the monster question mark. According to sources within the UAH Hockey alumni, a players video call was made Thursday to give players and donors an update on what was needed moving forward.

According to those sources, Alumni, and UAH Administrators have discussed parameters to move forward after the upcoming season, which include:
(5/9)
1. A $2 million Dollar annual budget ($500 thousand will come from the University)

2. A Conference Home (UAH will play their final season in the WCHA)

3. An advisory board, which will help facilitate relationships to corporations to raise funds, ticket sales.
(6/9)
Sources also tell me the goal is to potentially reach the CCHA Conference once UAH and the alumni/donor base are able to show their long term commitment to hockey. A ten year proposal is expected if and when the program is reinstated at the end of business Friday .
(7/9)
Sources close to the situation also are firm in that all parties involved want hockey to be at UAH. No hard feelings from those close to discussions. It comes down to dollars and cents.
(8/9)
Does it make business sense to create a $2 million a year budget with alumni, boosters, donors having to generate $1.5 million dollars annually , without a conference home, and trying to reach people that are willing to help make budget outside of the UAH Hockey family.

Hockey appears to be back at UAH for the time being, but will it be canceled again a year from now due to lack of funding? Time will tell.
