Criminal complaint: ME finds George Floyd died of combination of underlying health conditions and potential intoxicants along with being restrained. Did not die of asphysixia or strangulation
One of the officers there- Thomas Lane asks “should we roll him?” Chauvin says “No, staying out where we got him.” Lane asks again, “should we roll him on his side?” Concerned about “excited delirium” Chauvin says “that’s why we have him on his stomach”
This is all according to court documents. A criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County Court.
Document goes on to say Officer Chauvin had his knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46seconds. The prosecutor says this is a move that officers are trained to know is “inherently dangerous.”
