Huge emphasis on focusing on being an ally. I see too many asians calling others asians out for not speaking up. The anti-blackness in the asian community does exist but if that’s all people see on the TL bc you just wanna call people out for some RT’s, it’ll continue perpetuating that idea or thought. Instead, show people what you’re doing and show people what they can do. (2/?)
STOP with the performative activism and actually do something. Donate, sign petitions, try find info on a protest near you. Once you do all of these, encourage your followers and people you know to do the same instead of calling them out. Ty.
This thread is only targeting the people that have only done performative activism. Like @kyrawins said, if the shoe doesn’t fit, keep it moving.
