By taking no questions while ignoring the protests in Minnesota & beyond, Trump (unsurprisingly) ignores the reality that if we want to compete effectively with China, the United States need to fix our broken democratic system & restore the foundations of our strength at home.

We also don't have clarity after Trump's remarks on what exactly the administration is going to do to turn these announcements on Hong Kong into actions, or on what timeline. Long on rhetoric & short on detail.
