you don& #39;t "accidentally" kneel on someone& #39;s neck for 8 minutes while they scream that they can& #39;t breathe. he knew what he was doing. this was not an accident this was first degree murder. #RAISETHEDEGREE

also if you& #39;re going to argue with me about the first degree, here& #39;s what i& #39;m gonna say because i keep explaining it in the replies. i think it& #39;s first degree because they worked together for 17 years. the cop saw george in the car, took him from the car, put him on the ground+
and then began to strangle him. he took him out of the car with the sole purpose of killing him. to me, this has premeditated elements. i& #39;m not a lawyer so i don& #39;t know for sure, but all i& #39;m saying is that TO ME, the right lawyer could argue first degree, but obviously++
we can all agree that it should at LEAST be second degree. and hopefully they get the murderer on civil rights charges that will put him away for life
i completely understand that it would be a reach for the first degree in court and i want to make sure this man goes to prison, but i think that it at least has premiditated elements, which i understand would not be enough to hold up in court
and i understand that, because of how corrupt and racist the justice system is, he would likely get off if it was first degree. but there& #39;s no reason to not raise it to the second degree. this was intentional. thank u to the law students in the replies explaining it!

so i do wanna correct that the nightclub owner said that they worked together for a year not 17 years, but either way they did work together, either way they did likely know each other https://kstp.com/news/george-floyd-fired-officer-overlapped-security-shifts-at-south-minneapolis-club-may-28-2020/5743990/">https://kstp.com/news/geor...
