When the church and the state lynched Christ, the temple veil rent in two. The land shook. The rocks split. The ancestors tore their graves open. 1/7
The most sacred place (The Holy of Holies) was revealed to the most common man. The place where prophets spoke and visited God no longer was protected or excluded by veil. The earth literally could not take His blood and death. 2/7
It rejected both by breaking and crumbling. The ancestors could no longer lie in ground bloodied by their Savior. This rejection changed the world because a brown man was lynched. (Don’t let me start on the destruction that happened in the BOM). 3/7
Lynching destroys. Bodies. Land. Places excluded. Heaven. Soil. Hearts. People. 4/7
What I’m seeing in Minneapolis is the people rejecting a lynching. The people renting the veil so that the most common man can see the most Holy of Holies, the place where God dwells and commune: Black Life, Black Humanity, and Black dignity. The most sacred life. 5/7
It can and will no longer be excluded by veils from those who can’t or don’t want to see. The ground is being broken and the ancestors are visiting, know it should be more of us than it is of them. They can’t take anymore innocent blood. 6/7
People are tired. The land is tired of so much lynching and sacred blood seeping into its skin. When their temples of capitalism and abusive authority are destroyed, remember Christ returned after 3 days. Fim.
