Here’s a list of things #MedEd leadership can do to address the times.

This is just me thinking out loud. Happy to hear thoughts of others.
🗣 Statement of Support. An acknowledgment of current times and explicitly naming racism and police brutality.

🧠 Mental Health Support. A list of resources that are accesible ( aka free, after hours etc) to learners, faculty and staff. Community / affinity groups to talk.
🚔 Re-evaluation of security presence on campuses.

📚 Audit curriculum. See where you can be clear about the role of racism and white superamcy in medicine.

💰Fund offices of diversity and inclusion for effective programming.
🏛 Meet with local community leaders. Make them part of your leadership. Give community grants. Open your space for community meetings.

🏔 Land acknowledgments. Honor Native and Indginous communities.
👩🏿‍⚕️ Use commitment to health equity as a metric for promotion

👩🏿‍🦯 Make sure ALL of your resources are accesible.
