Here’s a list of things
#MedEd leadership can do to address the times.
This is just me thinking out loud. Happy to hear thoughts of others.

Statement of Support. An acknowledgment of current times and explicitly naming racism and police brutality.

Mental Health Support. A list of resources that are accesible ( aka free, after hours etc) to learners, faculty and staff. Community / affinity groups to talk.

Re-evaluation of security presence on campuses.

Audit curriculum. See where you can be clear about the role of racism and white superamcy in medicine.

Fund offices of diversity and inclusion for effective programming.

Meet with local community leaders. Make them part of your leadership. Give community grants. Open your space for community meetings.

Land acknowledgments. Honor Native and Indginous communities.

Use commitment to health equity as a metric for promotion

Make sure ALL of your resources are accesible.
