I've been genuinely baffled at the recent events. I desperately want to find the words to say, but I'm constantly left speechless.
It's all so sickening, but realize that people have been dealing with these injustices for longer than the past week.

It's beyond disgusting to me that the president is advocating violence against oppressed citizens of our society.
I acknowledge that I am white and I do have privilege, but I also have a platform to speak out on these injustices.

Silence is oppression and I'm sorry for being silent for so long.
These issues do not affect me directly, so I need to educate myself as much as possible. Please feel free to educate me on anything I missed.

Some interpreted "educate yourselves" as condescending, but I can assure you that it wasn't.
We shouldn't be so defensive over what we don't know. It's fine to admit you don't know things! I don't know things! Especially those that don't affect me – but I want to learn and help.

Again, I will never claim to fully understand stuff like this. I'm always open to learn, so feel free to open up new avenues of information for me.
