This is rooted in the philosophical expansion of complicity to include all white people and their complicity in racism and white supremacy. This was done formally by Barbara Applebaum in 2010. This is because they don't want their white comfort or white equilibrium disrupted. Thus, for Theory, disrupting both white comfort and white equilibrium are explicitly listed as a necessary priority. Thus, white people apparently hold together, which is utterly ridiculous, maintaining a kind of "white solidarity" to uphold white supremacy for their own benefit. The whole point of this is to compel allyship that, by design, cannot possibly be done correctly or adequately. Nothing is good enough, and allyship tends to reproduce racism and white supremacy.
