We should be utilizing the Kansas City Experiments, the work of sociologists like Thomas Abt and Christopher Winship, and empirical studies such as the one above. Police aggression is a humanitarian issue, not a political one, and should be reformed using evidence, not propaganda
This is not a simple b&w issue and there are so many variables not being accounted for by those on either side. Racism exists in the police world in ways that aren't being talked about. Conversely, race is irrelevant in other areas of police violence that are being rioted about.
There are a plethora of issues regarding effective policing which demand attention. I'm no expert on them, I'm simply obsessed with the research and conversations surrounding them. They are so much more interesting than the narrative being painted by politicians on either side
If you happen to not care about obsessively delving into social issues then I'm truly sorry you had to see this thread. But if you want to talk the nitty gritty of these problems and the data surrounding them, in a calm manner, then pls talk to me, I want to hear it all.
